Data Sync Manager for HCM
Flexible solution for consistent copying of HCM data

Data Sync Manager (DSM), from EPI-USE Labs, is a flexible solution for accurate and consistent copying of data. The present DSM product grew out of an HCM-focused product, called DSM for HR, to include other ERP modules, to support SRM and CRM, and to copy subsets of SAP clients.

However, your company may wish to copy HCM data only. EPI-USE Labs thus offers you a trimmed down version of Data Sync Manager, via the new ‘DSM for HCM’ license.

Components of DSM for HCM

DSM for HCM comprises Object Sync for HCM, including the new HR Planning Mass Copy functionality, plus two bonuses: the basis Business Objects and the ‘Only HCM Data’ profile of Client Sync. This license therefore only restricts the data that can be copied, but includes all DSM functionalities and advantages.

• Object Sync for HCM

  Object Sync for HCM empowers business users to select any HCM Master data, such as Employee data, or transactional data, such as Payroll results, and copy it to a target non-production client. Optional scrambling conversions allow you to protect sensitive data. As a bonus, the license includes access to the basis Business Objects, such as Usermaster and Report Variants data.

  Since data is copied on demand, non-production systems can be up to date, enabling more efficient testing, training and support.

  HR Planning Mass Copy
  This enables you to copy Personnel Planning Data for specific PD Object Types. You can also delete Employees or Applicants on non-production clients.

  This Mass Copy functionality is optimized for copying large data sets.

• Client Sync for HCM

  With Client Sync, technical teams can refresh or copy a subset of an SAP client quickly, producing a leaner, fully functional client.

  This license includes Client Sync’s ‘Only HCM Data’ profile, allowing you to select from and copy the Master data (Employee and Applicant), Personnel Planning data, Customizing data and linked Cost Center data. Transactional data can be time sliced and document flows preserved. The option to exclude certain data, such as Payroll data, protects sensitive information and increases performance.

  This profile is especially powerful during merges or splits of an HCM system.

License extension possibilities

Once you have the DSM for HCM license, you choose to extend your license to include access to the Financial and Logistics components in DSM. You could also acquire licenses for Object Sync for SRM and/or CRM, or Client Sync for ERP, SRM and/or CRM.
