Senior SAP HCM Consultant

Senior project team member/leader needed for complex SAP HR Payroll related consulting projects for clients consisting of human resource departments in private and/or public sector in Sacramento, California and other areas.

The SR HCM Consultant will

  • lead the collection, analysis, and documentation of functional business requirements, as well as the business design of functional solutions;
  • identify and communicate business needs and translates these needs into understandable requirements;
  • determine if solutions impact existing work processes and systems and ensure proper integration;
  • serve as liaison between Human Resources and IT to provide technical solutions to meet user needs and maintain established business relationships;
  • lead in the development of project deliverables, such as requirements and interface specifications, business architecture models, and scenario specifications;
  • assist management with the coordination of day-to-day operations of the team; assign, monitor, and review progress and accuracy of work, evaluate results, direct efforts, and provide technical guidance on more complex issues;
  • provide input to management on employee performance; may orient new team members;
  • identify training needs and train team members;
  • lead in the collection of research in terms of best practices, business processes, and procedures;

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or foreign equivalent degree
  • 6 years of progressive experience in SAP
  • knowledge of SAP skills required, including SAP Payroll
