Data Sync Manager™ (DSM) empowers all levels of SAP® users, ensuring access to production data in non-production systems for testing, training and support. This landscape management suite supplies you with the data you need when you need it. Use DSM to copy systems, clients and SAP data objects and to mask data on demand.

DSM can copy to higher SAP releases – useful during upgrades – and between different architectures. It saves time, reduces costs and risks, and improves business efficiency.

The Data Sync Manager (DSM) suite has four complementary products: System Builder™, Client Sync™, Object Sync™ and Data Secure™. Although the products can be used on their own, the real power of DSM is experienced when they are used in combination.

• System Builder: make a complete copy of all repository objects and client-independent data in Production, to create a new non-production system with Client 000 (contains basic client-dependent customisation for new clients), and optionally, Client 001 (customisation copy of Client 000) and Client 066 (used by SAP for support). Technical users can copy a slice of the SAP client data, based on document date, while functional users can recreate a specific scenario with selected data objects. DSM relieves you from recreating testing and training data manually. You can have up-to-date, valid production data for testing or for training simulations whenever you need it. Data can be refreshed easily and regularly.

No system interruptions during data refreshes

Because you have the option to copy only a slice of client data, you can eliminate system downtime. In addition, you can choose to enable users to copy production data as needed, leading to fewer system interruptions.

DSM allows you to define templates that reduce complexity, to empower the user who needs the data to access it in a regulated environment. DSM's design ensures data consistency. When copying for testing or training, DSM can protect sensitive data with extensive and flexible masking and scrambling capability, which adheres to data protection standards (such as Sarbanes Oxley).
