e-Learning Course Development Consultant (Instructional Designer)
Position overview:
We are looking for an e-Learning Course Development Consultant to develop training material as part of e-Learning and Change Management campaigns. As an Instructional Designer, you will provide consulting services for training material development as well as the delivery of e-courses. Furthermore, you will be responsible for content management, uploading training material to Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies as well as the development of e-Learning courses using a variety of software/tools.
You’d be part of a growing, dynamic and creative team that focuses on the development and delivery of e-Learning material, in a multinational software company. Knowledge of e-learning development, adult learning, and Learning Management System administration would be an added benefit.
If you hold a qualification in Multimedia, Information Design, Adult Education, or Human Resources; with experience in e-Learning development, and have knowledge of Learning Management Systems, then we'd be happy to hear from you!
Education:
- Bachelor degree specialising in Multimedia, Information Design, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, or similar.
Competencies:
- Development of multimedia objects using a variety of software/tools, e-learning development, adult learning, Learning Management System administration and other related tasks.
- Language proficiency: Speak and write clearly and effectively in English.

- Instructional Design;
- e-Learning development
- Multimedia development;
- Storyboarding;

- Other related fields.
Added advantage:
- Developing multi-media objects (step-by-step guides, screencasts, etc for system’s training);
System training experience; - Relevant LMS experience (preferably Moodle); and
- Articulate 360 suite.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Consulting services are required in the following areas over a 2 year period:
- Instructional Design for e-Learning development;
- Implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies; and
- Development of e-Learning using a variety of software/tools.
Content management:
- Source and final files are to be uploaded to the repository location on a daily basis;
- Utilise project templates; and
- Adherence to standards and specifications.
Multimedia development:
- Follow EPI-USE’s procedures and processes for content development;
- Adhere to client’s specifications and requirements; and
- Meet project deadlines.
General information:
- In order to ensure compliance with standards and procedures, travel may be required;
- Liaise with the project manager assigned to the project;
- Support relevant training initiatives.
