SAP Solution Architect

Position Overview:

As a technical solution architect at EPI-USE America your role will be as an intermediary between the technical implementation team and client as well as other project team members. A technical solution architect is expected to have a strong all-round knowledge of the latest SAP products and services, as well as the ability to quickly learn and understand 3 rd party technologies and services.

As a technical solution architect, you are expected to design, plan, and solve for the technical components of a projects EPI-USE America undertakes as well as communicate with both a development team and business.

Expected day to day tasks will be to: gather technical requirements from clients and other team members, scope and plan work effort for developments in a project, design technical documentation, create project milestones and manage a team of developers to implement and meet the project milestones, assist in unit and integration testing, develop knowledge transfer strategies to client technical teams, assist in product cutovers and post go-live support of implemented solutions.

Technical Skills should include:

  • Full-stack development.
  • Application development:
    • ABAP (required).
    • SAP BTP and its offerings including Cloud Integration (required).
    • SAP Netweaver technologies (required):
      • SAP Gateway.
      • SOA Manager.
      • SAP ICM.
    • Identity Authentication Service (IAS) (beneficial but not required).
    • SAPUI5 (beneficial but not required).
    • RESTful Services (beneficial but not required).
    • MuleSoft (beneficial but not required).
    • Dell Boomi (beneficial but not required).
    • other integration platforms.
  • Security and Authentication standards.
  • SuccessFactors.
  • Software design principles and patterns.
  • Agile Methodologies and its ceremonies.
  • User Interface design principles.

Other Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or engineering or related field, or 5-years equivalent business experience.
  • 5 or more years of SAP implementation experience.
  • Experience in at least 4 full life-cycle implementations.
  • Strong understanding of SAP’s HCM components and the integration points between these components as well as the other components in SAP/SuccessFactors.
  • Experience developing technical analysis, designing technical specifications and development of custom SAP applications in the HCM module with strong integration experience.
  • Knowledge of Personnel Administration, Time Management, Benefits, or Payroll, and integration with other HCM components.
  • Technical expertise in Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Very familiar with the Microsoft Suite of Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
